Calculis is a mental math game, solo or against someone: numbers flash by, you give the total, and each level passed adds more.

The idea

  1. Add up the numbers that flash by.
  2. Give the right total to reach the next level: more numbers, and bigger ones.
  3. As long as your totals are right, the game goes on, alone or against someone: how far will you go?

A level

The numbers show one at a time, then disappear: keep the count in your head as they go. At the end, type your answer. After each level, the whole series shows with the right answer, so you can see where a mistake slipped in.

With each level passed, the next one is a bit harder: longer series, bigger numbers. There's no difficulty to pick, the game ramps up on its own.

Solo

Solo, the game goes on as long as your answers are right: the first mistake ends it. There's no rush between two levels, you can come back to it whenever you want. Your best level is kept for each mode, and your form, the average level of your latest games, then lets you start further in.

Against someone

Against an opponent, you play the same levels, each at your own pace: you have 48 hours to play each level, and a notification tells you when it's your turn. Look for an opponent, or challenge a player from their profile.

  • You both get it right: next level.
  • Only one gets it right: they win the game.
  • Nobody gets it right: it's a tie.

Game modes

Each game mode changes what you compute: additions, multiplications, decimals, percentages…

  • Classic : Numbers to add up, more of them and bigger as the levels go by
  • +1/−1 : Only 0, +1 and −1, but more of them and much faster.
  • Multiplication : + and −, but also × and ÷.
  • Intruder : Small numbers, and a big one hiding somewhere.
  • Decimals : Decimal numbers to add up
  • Countdown : A starting number, then only subtractions: how much is left?
  • Percentages : A starting number, then percentage increases and decreases.
