Multiplication
All four operations in one series: a multiplication or a division, then an addition or a subtraction, and so on. You work left to right, like a calculator, with no order of operations. Divisions always come out even: great for brushing up on times tables.
How to play
× and ÷ alternating with + and −, chained from left to right (4, × 3, − 2 make 10). The total always comes out even.
Example
4 × 3 − 2 ÷ 2 = 5
Tips
- Apply each operation to the running result, in the order shown: 4, × 3, − 2 make 10, not −2.
- A division always comes out even: if your result can't be divided, an earlier step is wrong.
- Brush up on the 2 to 9 times tables: they come up the most.
Solo or against someone
Solo, go as far as you can: the first mistake ends the game. Against someone, you play the same levels as your opponent: if you're the only one with the right answer, you win. All the rules
